My collection!

Good afternoon!
I am on my way to Osaka today which leaves me plenty and plenty of time to kill, so I thought why not post my collection so far!
I think just as fun as collecting is, the story behind the item can be just as interesting. I’ll write my stories with each item (as best as I can remember!) so it can be a fun thing for me to look back on, and hopefully interesting for my readers as well!

My plushie collection officially began with the Aloha Series! My fiancée bought these for me at World Connection in Harajuku after I originally saw them while shopping with my friends in Kiddyland ^^

Here is my Rilakkuma purse! He holds my important items like my phone and suica card on days I don’t need a big purse. Perfect for my gym commute or to make an outfit more kawaii!

This is an orphan rilakkuma I adopted! He lounged around my home for months and I was never sure whom he belonged to, so one day, after being tired of seeing him on the ground with no friends, I fostered him and brought him to my room!

This is my biiiig soft rilakkuma pillow! My fiancée bought him for me from a secondhand shop. He is always thinking of me ^.-

My skytree plushie! I really love the bag from skytree, so theres a pic of it as well! This was our first visit to skytree, and it was a completely breathtaking, beautiful experience. I’m happy I have rilakkuma and friends as a great souvenir!

Year of the snake korilakkuma. I was never very interested in this series, but when I saw her in Tokyo station, I had to bring her home!

Sweets series Rila! I was so happy to find him in Kichijoji!  This is one of my favorite series..I love the cuteness!

I fell in love with this Aloha caravan when I saw him in Kichijoji. Loving that tan!

He met his family ^^

Bath series Ko & Ri! I really love Ko from this series. I was able to get Ri at Loft in Kawasaki. It was a really nice day, and he’s a nice reminder of the fun we had!

My first auction purchase! These guys are from the aloha series and came all the way to me from Osaka.

The happy crew!

Wow, imagine my surprise to find him in Fukuoka! Very lucky find!

I found this little Kii at Loft in Nagoya. He was in the clearance bin! I captured the sticker on his tag if you look closely. I think he ended up being $4!

My sweets crew!

I randomly found Year of the Snake rilakkuma at a department store, so I picked him up!

I put off getting the Zodiac kumas forever, but after finding them for just $10 each in a department store, I had to grab my fiancée’s and my star signs ^^

Harajuku anniversary plushies! My first time at a rilakkuma release. It was really fun! After we had a picnic in beautiful Yoyogi Park!

image

I have always loved this set and never been able to find both of them in one store. These I got from Sendai! Nice memory!

My pride and joy, XL sweets korilakkuma! She came from yahoo auctions! So happy to have her *^^*

Love my sweets family!

Trumpet playing Ko! I got her on the first Wonderland release day at Kiddyland in Odaiba! It was an amazing day, odaiba is very romantic!

Tower Records kumas, they are great! My fiancée pre-ordered them for me and I grabbed them at Shibuya! They really stick out in my collection ^^

  1. Your collection is starting to growing up! I love Korilakkuma sweet series XL best ^-^ When I saw her on auction, I thought of you because I saw your post on Ariel’s then I realized it was you kkkk glad you didn’t have any competitor at that time! Very nice picture and it’s nice that each plushies has its own memories ^-^ Hope someday I can shop my rilakkuma plushie at the real store too! ❤

  2. Very lovely collection with great stories behind them 😀 I always love seeing peoples collections it makes me so happy~ I can’t wait to watch your collection grow with each post!

Wow have you been to all the Rilakkuma Stores? It’s a pretty awesome experience to visit a new store. I’m hoping they open one in Chiba >.<

    • Thank you! *^^*
Hmm yeah maybe I’ve been to every rilakkuma store?! I like the challenge of finding them in regular stores too! That’s where the goodies are, the hidden gems ~ everyone knows about the official shops, but the random ones are where its at!

  3. Wow, thank you so much for sharing these photos and your stories! You’ve been to so many places with Rilakkuma! 😀 it’s so nice to see the Aloha crew all together! You have such a beautiful collection ❤

  4. Everyone looks so cute and relaxed in your home hehe. I love that the sweets series, you have the XL for kori instead of the standard size. Kori is dominating hehe.

Your first auction plushies are so cute, kori holding pancakes and kii holding shaved ice ^_^ they look good together with the Aloha set!

Reading about how you got each plushie is so fun, I enjoyed it so much! I wish I can go to Japan and find such great deals too. Rila is so expensive overseas, sometimes I wonder if I should just hold out on buying online and just buy as many Rilas as I can when I visit Japan.

    • Thank you! I really want sweets series Ko in standard size too, just haven’t been able to find her >< im patient, though!
Shipping is a killer, its sad people and companies take advantage because they know there is no other way overseas customers can get them … buying in stores is really hit and miss for older ones, but going to a release is really fun ^^ I know when you come to Japan you will buy much more than you planned! Bring an empty suitcase! ^.-
